Ride For Solar

Join us on SaRide For Solar smallturday, March 23rd, 2019 in a fun, social ride dedicated to bringing solar to the Boise Bicycle Project (BBP) in Idaho.

Their will be two routes available, but everyone will start and end together at McLaren Lodge, 501 Stanyan st., in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA 94117. The novice ride will be 7.83 miles and will offer views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Pacific Ocean, and enter partly into Golden Gate Park. Overall, the roads you will ride on are bike friendly and will have some segments with shared traffic. The slightly longer, more scenic ride, will be 12.15 miles, riding through all of Golden Gate park, out to the Pacific and then up to see the Golden Gate Bridge before you head back down to the start point.

For those interested, there will be an opportunity for everyone to stop and reconvene mid-ride, take pictures, use the restroom, etc. before finishing out the return leg of the trip at Roundhouse by the bridge (StreetView, Maps).

At the end of the ride, we hope you'll decide to join us at Kezar Pub, right by the park, for optional after-ride drinks.

Did you know that with a savings of just $2 covers the cost of fixing 1 flat tire for the kids at BBP (about 600 fixed annually)? Or that $50 in savings in electricity will cover the cost of donating a light, lock, helmet, and refurbished bicycle to a child. About 800 bikes donated each year.

Registration fee is $35. Want to make a greater impact? Follow this guide to set up your own GoFundMe! Raise at least $50 and you will receive a free commemorative Everybody Solar bracelet. Raise the most, you will receive a free HELIO solar powerbank!

Your participation will immediately impact the environment and help Everybody Solar cross the fundraising finish line for BBP. Sign up on our eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ride-for-solar-tickets-56598364231) and please share this with all your friends.
