At Everybody Solar, we are on a mission to make a positive impact on our communities by providing the gift of clean energy to nonprofits serving the most vulnerable populations. Our goal is to help these organizations thrive by significantly reducing their electricity costs through solar installations. This way, they can redirect funds directly into their missions and create a bigger, lasting effect on their causes.
A Note About Our Model
Everybody Solar doesn't hand out grants or write checks — we do something bigger. We select nonprofit partners and then go raise 100% of the funding and manage the entire solar installation on their behalf, at no cost and with no debt to the organization.
We review applications against our project criteria, current funding, and pipeline capacity, so we can't guarantee a project or a fast response to every applicant. But every application helps us understand the need out there, and we reach out as soon as an opportunity lines up with your organization.
Here's how we collaborate with nonprofits to make solar energy a reality for them:
STEP 1:
Complete the Nonprofit Application Form
The first step to partnering with us is to complete the Nonprofit Application Form. This form helps us understand your organization, its objectives, and how solar energy can best benefit your operations.
STEP 2:
You Join Our Pipeline
Once we've reviewed your application, your organization stays in our pipeline for consideration. We reach out when the timing, funding, and project capacity align — so partnership can take time, but we're working toward it.
STEP 3:
Complete Nonprofit Questionnaires and Submit Documents.
To ensure we have a comprehensive understanding of your requirements, we request that you fill out our Nonprofit Questionnaires and provide any necessary documents. This information will guide us in tailoring the solar solution to suit your unique situation.
STEP 4:
Review and Sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Upon finalizing the details of the solar project, we will present you with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This document outlines the terms and conditions of our collaboration, securing a solid foundation for our partnership.
STEP 5:
Site Visit Coordination (if required).
If necessary, we'll work with you to organize a site visit from us and/or a trusted solar installer. This ensures that the installation process is well-planned and executed to maximize the benefits of solar energy for your organization.
STEP 6:
Provide Support to our Development Team.
To cover 100% of the installation costs for your nonprofit, we engage in various fundraising efforts, including grant writing, sponsorships, crowd-sourcing, and fundraising events. That said, no one is better at sharing your stories and impact than you. You are the best advocate for your work and the population you serve. So, while we make every effort to minimize your contact and work here, we do need input from you and your team during this process.
STEP 7:
We'll Handle the Rest
Once everything is in place, you can sit back and relax while we take care of the entire process. We work closely with industry experts to manage local regulations, evaluate solar installers, and establish long-term partnerships with manufacturers. Our technical support ensures that the solar installations come to life seamlessly.
