How Does Solar Thermal Work?

Solar thermal systems employ a series of components to harness the sun’s heat effectively. 

In most types of systems, a heat-transfer fluid is heated and circulated in the receiver and used to produce steam. The steam is converted into mechanical energy in a turbine, which powers a generator to produce electricity.

The most common solar thermal component is the solar collector which is used mainly for pool water heating or domestic hot water heating.

Does Everybody Solar use solar thermal technologies?

Everybody Solar currently focuses our solar projects on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. While we understand the value of Solar Thermal systems, and may consider this at some future vantage point, for the time being we will focus on continuing to leverage solar PV to the best of our abilities.
