Everybody Solar Celebrates 12+ Years of Partnership with JinkoSolar, Powering Nonprofits Nationwide with Clean Energy
San Francisco, CA — Nonprofit solar provider Everybody Solar is proud to honor a milestone in its longest-standing corporate partnership: over a decade of collaboration with global clean energy leader JinkoSolar. Since 2013, JinkoSolar has donated nearly 1,000 solar modules, valued at almost $200,000, to support Everybody Solar’s mission of bringing renewable energy to community-serving nonprofits across the United States.
The partnership, which began in 2013 with Everybody Solar’s very first project at Rebuilding Together Peninsula in California, has since grown to support 14 solar projects across 6 states, serving nonprofits that provide services ranging from youth education and veteran housing to food access and medical care.
“JinkoSolar has been with us since the beginning,” said Myriam Scally, Executive Director of Everybody Solar. “They’ve stood by our mission for over a decade — helping us make solar possible for nonprofits who otherwise couldn’t afford it. Their continued support is a testament to the power of long-term partnerships rooted in shared values of sustainability, access, and community care.”
Among the most impactful collaborations was the 2022 installation at Sulzbacher Village, a Jacksonville, Florida-based organization serving unhoused individuals and families. The 50kW solar array — the largest that JinkoSolar has supported with Everybody Solar to date — significantly reduced operational costs, allowing Sulzbacher to redirect funds toward critical programs.
Across all projects, nonprofits supported through this partnership have benefited from:
Reduced electricity costs, allowing reinvestment into core services
Long-term environmental sustainability
Increased property value and improved energy resilience
JinkoSolar’s donations have helped expand solar access to nonprofits in states like California, Florida, New York, and Oregon, including projects in areas where Jinko has a U.S. footprint. As part of their ongoing commitment, JinkoSolar has also plans to support another one of Everybody Solar’s current projects, pushing their impact even further.
“For more than a decade, our partnership with the mission-driven team at Everybody Solar has shown how clean energy delivers real value to communities and local economies,” said Nigel Cockroft, General Manager of JinkoSolar US. “Everybody Solar has built a remarkable operation, and we’re proud to support their work helping nonprofits lower costs and reinvest in the people they serve.”
The two organizations are currently planning a retrospective media campaign to commemorate the partnership and the lives touched through solar power, to be released later this year.
